The purpose of this thesis is to help other people, including educators, become aware of the growing problems bilingual students and their families face as well as the challenges teachers encounter while working with them.
This research was carried out with an 8 year old bilingual girl living in the United States and analyses both the issues bilingual students face and also what their families are experiencing and going through while dealing with the education of their children.
